The Engraved Initial

The Engraved Initial Necklace is built around a different idea to most initial jewellery. The letter is engraved into the pendant rather than shaped as a freestanding form, sitting inside a frame of natural mined diamonds. The diamond border gives it weight and presence. The reverse is left for something private: a date, a name, a set of coordinates, whatever needs to be recorded. A white gold initial necklace that holds two kinds of meaning at the same time.

Handcrafted in solid 9ct, 14ct or 18ct gold with hand-set natural diamonds in the frame, individually created in our London atelier. White gold works particularly well here: the cool metal and the diamonds read as a coherent whole. Yellow and rose gold are available for a warmer take on the same design.

Lead Times

All pieces are custom made and estimated production times are 3-5 weeks from purchase.

If your order is urgent, please email info@argent-asher.com and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please note: the shipping method is included in the overall lead time of your piece, but does not expedite your order's production time.

Shipping

During manufacturing you will receive update emails notifying you of progress. Once your piece is ready to ship, we will email you with the tracking information. All jewellery requires a signature from the purchaser, in order to be delivered successfully.

Customs

For international orders and shipments leaving the UK - there is a legal requirement to pay duty charges and/or VAT when arriving at the destination Country. These charges are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Warranty, Returns & Aftercare

Returns & 12-Month Cover for Jewellery purchased inside of the UK.

Most of our fine jewellery pieces are eligible for complimentary returns.

We understand that choosing jewellery is a thoughtful purchase, so if something doesn’t feel right, we aim to make the return process straightforward and reassuring.

Please note:
• Personalised and bespoke pieces can’t be returned unless there is a fault on arrival
• Faulty items must be sent back unworn and in their original condition

Each Argent + Asher piece is made to order in our London atelier and includes a UK 12-month warranty covering manufacturing issues, such as:

• Stones becoming loose
• Settings or claws shifting
• Missing small stones
• Faults with clasps or chains

If a manufacturing issue occurs within this period, we will arrange a repair.

Resizing & Repairs

We offer resizing on selected ring designs.

Please note:
• Eternity bands cannot be resized
• Some styles are not suitable for adjustment
• Most rings can be resized within approximately 1–1.5 sizes of the original

If you’re unsure on sizing, it’s always worth confirming before ordering. It’s one of the most common concerns when investing in fine jewellery, and guidance is always available.

Repairs Outside Warranty

If your piece requires attention outside of the warranty period, or due to general wear over time, we can usually arrange a repair for a fee.

Each item is reviewed individually, and we’ll outline the options clearly before any work is carried out.
