Our story
Handmade in Our London Atelier
Argent & Asher started with one necklace. After her son was born, our founder Katie Silver wanted a meaningful initial necklace she could wear every day. She went on to study with the Gemological Institute of America, and that one necklace became a London atelier.
We still work the same way. Nothing is made until someone asks for it. Every piece is made to order by jewellers with decades at the bench, in solid gold that’s hallmarked and built for everyday wear, not the back of a drawer.
Bespoke jewellery is that idea taken all the way: a piece that starts with your story, not our catalogue.

Drawn by hand
Every commission starts as a pencil sketch, so you can see the lettering, the proportions and where each stone sits before any gold is touched.

We don’t hold finished stock. Your piece is made once, for you, and nobody else is wearing it.

The sketchbook
From First Sketch to Finished Piece
Before anything is made, your piece is drawn in pencil. It’s the quickest way to catch what isn’t quite right (a letter set too tight, a stone sitting too high) and the most honest way to show you exactly what you’re getting.

Tell Us the Idea
Book a design call or send us a message. Screenshots, a name, a birthstone, a ring you’d like to reference: it all helps, and nothing is too early.

We Sketch It by Hand
We draw your piece in pencil and talk you through metal, stones and proportions. Changes are part of the process, so we refine it until it’s right.

You Approve the Design
You sign off the final design and quote before anything is made. Designing a name necklace, ring or bracelet? Our Custom Design Preview shows you a render first for £49, fully redeemable against your order.

Made in London
Our jewellers make your piece by hand in our London atelier, usually within 3 to 6 weeks. It’s hallmarked, then sent to you in the UK or anywhere we ship worldwide.

Bespoke Jewellery FAQs
What is bespoke jewellery?
Bespoke jewellery is designed from scratch for one person. Rather than choosing from what’s already made, you work with a designer on a piece built around your idea, your story and your budget. At Argent & Asher, every bespoke piece is sketched by hand and made to order in our London atelier.
How much does bespoke jewellery cost?
It depends on the design, the gold you choose and the stones. We design to your budget, and you’ll always approve a quote before anything is made. A design call is the quickest way to a price, and you can read more about how we price our jewellery.
How long does custom jewellery take?
Most bespoke pieces take 3 to 6 weeks from design approval, depending on how intricate they are. If you’re working towards a birthday, proposal or wedding, tell us early so we can plan the timeline with you.
Can you change one of your existing designs?
Yes. We can adapt a piece from our collections (a different font, another stone, a switch from yellow to white gold) or start from a blank page.
What metals and stones do you use?
We work in solid gold: 9ct, 14ct or 18ct, in yellow, white or rose. We set natural diamonds and gemstones, and can use lab-grown diamonds on request.
Do I need to come to London?
No. Design consultations take place on a call, so you can design with us from anywhere, and we ship worldwide with FedEx.
Will I see my design before it’s made?
Always. You’ll see a hand-drawn sketch and approve the final design and quote before our jewellers begin. Nothing is made without your sign-off.
