Yes — every piece in the initial jewellery collection is made to order. Nothing is held in stock. When you choose your letter, script and gold, the piece is made individually in our London atelier. Because each piece is personalised, it cannot be returned once made. Lead times vary by piece — most gold initial necklaces are made within 2 to 3 weeks; diamond pieces may take slightly longer. Current lead times are shown on each individual product page.
What gold options are available for initial jewellery?
All initial jewellery at Argent & Asher is available in solid 9ct and 18ct gold as standard, in yellow, white and rose gold. 14ct gold is also available on selected pieces — where it is available, it is shown as an option on the product page. The gold is solid throughout — not plated, not filled. 9ct gold is more durable for everyday wear; 18ct gold has a richer colour and higher gold content. Both are hallmarked in London before dispatch.
